This Privacy Policy explains how Cloud Map Stack ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, a securely hashed password, and the website address you ask us to move.
- Usage & technical data — IP address, browser/device information, log data, and how you interact with the Service.
- Content you host — the website content, media and data you upload or that we capture at your request. This may include personal information about your own site's visitors, for which you are responsible.
- Communications — messages you send us and records of our correspondence.
We do not collect payment card numbers directly; where paid plans are offered, payments are handled by a third-party payment provider.
2. How we use it
- To create and manage your account and provide, maintain and improve the Service.
- To move, host, back up and deliver your website.
- To send you service and transactional emails (for example, verification codes and status updates).
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We send marketing email only where permitted, and you can opt out at any time.
3. Cookies
We use a strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you logged in to your control panel. We do not use it for advertising.
4. Where your data is stored
Your account data, website content, database and files are hosted in data centres located in Australia. Some limited processing may occur outside Australia — in particular, transactional email delivery and global content delivery are provided through reputable cloud providers whose infrastructure may operate in other countries. Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
5. Who we share it with
We disclose personal information only to: (a) service providers who help us operate the Service (such as cloud hosting, email delivery and content delivery), under obligations of confidentiality and only as needed; and (b) law enforcement, the eSafety Commissioner or other authorities where required or authorised by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
6. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and a read-only application runtime. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and to meet our legal obligations. When you close your account we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it.
8. Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at hello@cloudmapstack.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, consistent with the APPs.
9. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the APPs, contact us at hello@cloudmapstack.com and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
10. Changes & contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the effective date shows when it last changed. Questions or requests: hello@cloudmapstack.com.
